The picture is of one of my church potluck dishes. They had buy one get one free meatballs at Krogers. So I made a dish with meatballs then have a just meatballs dish. So I will have @ 56 meatballs plain as a dish and folks can eat plain or eat with a sauce of some kind. Also have 3bean dip for nachos. This recipe met with Mom's approval since this is our joint ministry doing the after service meal and helping out with that.
MIXED BEANS WITH MEATBALLS:
1 can red kidney beans
1 can spicy black beans
1 can pork n beans
1 can cut green beans
Mix beans and cook for 6-10 minutes
Separately cook meatballs. I bought heat n serve meatballs. I heated up 2 bags of meatballs--- @ 56 meatballs
After heating up the meatballs, I put them in a big bowl or pot with all of the beans
Add 1 cup of BBQ sauce
Add half cup of diced onions
Mix meatballs with the mixed beans, BBQ sauce and diced onions and stir. After stirring, cook for 15 minutes.
Then serve.
