Decided to do church cooking this morning. This is a side dish. Mom and Baba watched me cook as usual. Someone else is doing the main dish then we're gonna have nachos with 3 bean dip I got at Costco, pan bread with hummus, a Bob Evans side dish to be microwaved; some other church leftovers, and I've got a box of snacks from Costco and It is:
SOUTHWEST STYLE BBQ PORK WITH RICE
1. Cook the meat you are using. I used Curly's Pulled Pork. Sometimes I use the pulled pork from Costco. But any type of beef or pork that is shredded is useable.
2. Cook the rice you are using. I used white rice. But you can use any sort of rice that you wish. I cooked the rice in the microwave to a soft fluffy touch.
3. Add the Southwest Beef Simmer Sauce to the white rice.
4. Add @ 5 tablespoons of turmeric, 5 tablespoons of Pink Himalayan Salt, 1/2 cup of BBQ sauce, 1/2 cup of dried chopped onions, 5 tablespoons of black pepper, 1/4 cup of diced onions, 1 cup of diced peas and carrots to the rice covered by the beef simmer sauce.
5. Stir all the ingredient together and cook for 5-7 minutes. Let simmer 2-3 minutes.
6. Add the pulled pork to the mixture of the rice with southwest sauce and seasonings. Then cook for an additional 3-5 minutes. Let simmer 2-3 minutes.
Serve and eat.
THIS COULD BE SERVED AS A COOL RICE BASED SALAD AFTER 1-2 HOURS OF REFRIGERATION. However, I think it tastes better as a warm dish.
